My Office where much of my writing takes place. Sometimes I write using my laptop downstairs in my kitchen/living area on a small desk I have there.
Dakota on the left…our Border Collie mix who is now in doggie heaven, and Hunter, an awesome German Shepherd who belonged to our daughter and her husband. He died young from cancer.
The view out of our upstairs window at our current house. That’s the top half of Mt. Hood, OR in the distance.
Our daughter Marnee on her Arabian mare, Adora. We were on one of our many trail rides near our home. That’s Mt. Adams in the background. Adora is wearing ear protection from flies.
Me (Miralee) riding my all-time favorite mare, Khaila…Arabian…we had to put her down in August of 2013 due to old age and health reasons. She was such a joy to ride!
Lacey–my 7 lbs of cuddly love…a long-haired Chihuahua who turns 5 this year (2014). She’s the best dog I’ve ever owned. LOVE Her!
Our house, with tree lilies in the foreground.
A very small part of our yard. You can barely see Lacey peeking out behind the blue flowers, with Sophie (our current dog who is a rescue) over to the right.
Another shot of me and Khaila, my Arabian mare.
Our daughter Marnee and her brother (our son) Steven at his wedding.
Steven and his lovely bride, Hannah. She’s a true treasure!
Steven (our son) with his dad on our sailboat.
From left to right, our daughter Marnee, her husband Brian, Hannah, our lovely new daughter, our son Steven, my husband Allen and myself.
Marnee, our daughter, and her husband Brian, with puppy Hunter.
No, he wasn’t really biting me…at least, not hard. He was playing, the way a cat does, but you still have to be VERY careful, as he had all his teeth. No claws, though.
Another shot of Spunky.
Spunky….our cougar kitten we raised from three months old, and NOT taken from the wild. We had him for a number of years until we moved to Alaska and placed him in a game reserve.
Spunky when he was over a year old.
Sierra….the big cats were in 30’x30′ kennels with trees, natural ground, platforms, toys, and underground dens.
Sierra and Allen (many years ago). She was very bonded to him and would purr and chirp and pace the kennel when he came home from work, wanting him to come pet her.
