Is He God, or Not?

Is He God, or Not?

There is so much concern now about the economy, the results of the election, the state of our nation and the instability of the world. On a more personal level we face so much heartache and fear. Cancer, home foreclosures, job lay-offs, sickness, children going astray, marriages failing. No matter which way we turn we see pain, loss, discouragement, depression. What is a person to do? I’ve faced several of these issues myself…either in my own life, or my extended…

The Morning After…Thoughts on the Election

The Morning After…Thoughts on the Election

Hymn for the Morning After Courtesy of Ingrid Schlueter…I’ve shortened this by taking out the lines written in German and have left only the English translation. It’s a wonderful hymn and could easily be a prayer or declaration for God’s people. Miralee Nov 05 by Ingrid Schlueter Reading the headlines this morning, a German hymn came to mind so strongly. I was at a loss to translate the text properly because my German is rough, but then found the translation…

How Long Do We Have?

How Long Do We Have?

We serve a MIGHTY God….while the information below has proven to be true historically, I’m praying that God will turn what SEEMS inevitable toward the miraculous….and shows mercy and grace toward this country. Let’s keep fasting and praying and repenting for America!! About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000…

Sharing From Huntley Brown

Sharing From Huntley Brown

I wanted to send this article from Huntley Brown – a fabulous concert pianist, a man of God and a black man. I appreciate so much his reasoning for not voting for Obama. I checked it on Snopes, and he did confirm it was his letter—but that there were some parts that he wished had not been shared, as he didn’t intend for it to go public, and I’ve cut those places out of respect for his wishes. Miralee ————————————————————————————————-…

A Blog From Kim Vogel Sawyer

Risking my “comfort zone” My friend and fellow author (only she’s award winning AND a best seller!) posted a very thought provoking blog yesterday. Writes of Passage….Kim Vogel Sawyer Warning: I am about to wax political, something I’ve never before done in a public forum. I am not a confrontational person, and I’m…

Results On My Neck Surgery–God is GOOD!

Results On My Neck Surgery–God is GOOD!

I’m thrilled to be able to share that the surgeon looked at the MRI results and decided I’m not a candidate for immediate surgery on my neck. Wahoo!!! No pain, no big cost to cover the insurance deductible, no down time. God is Indeed GOOD! My pain level from the bulging disks is very low and he said that unless it gets worse, there’s no reason to do invasive surgery. There’s no danger of permanent nerve damage, which was my…

An Awesome Read by Leanna Ellis

An Awesome Read by Leanna Ellis

Lookin’ Back Texas ByLeanna Ellis Women’s fiction with a touch of humor….and a lot of depth. No, not the type of depth that you have force yourself to read, I’m talking things that, while touching, funny, and faced paced reading, still make you think. This was one of the best books I’ve read this year. Here’s the write up from Leanna. Betty Lynne Davidson is planning her husband’s funeral while overlooking one thing: he’s not dead. When Suzanne Mullins, forty-two,…

“the One who came still comes and the One who spoke still speaks” October 6 Reasons for Joy Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Philippians 4:4 (NKJV) “How’s life?” someone asks. And we who’ve been resurrected from the dead say, “Well, things could be better.” Or “Couldn’t get a parking place.” Or “My parents won’t let me move to Hawaii,” Or “People won’t leave me alone so I can finish my sermon on selfishness.”… Are you…

Families in Crisis

Families in Crisis

Can Fiction Impact a Marriage or Family? Why would anyone want to read Christian fiction? What purpose could it serve other than entertainment? Is it a waste of time for those of us who look for help and answers for our marriages, families and daily lives? I’ve heard those questions asked by people who typically only read self help books, or Christian living. Here are just a few comments from reader’s that have contacted me after reading my first book,…
