I find this rather perplexing. If God saved all the people on that plane, what does that say about all the people who actually do die in airplane crashes? Or in Chile, Haiti, etc.?
I’m not saying He didn’t save those people on that particular flight. But it seems as though when something like this happens, then God is “loving and merciful” toward His children. And when He doesn’t — then His ways are simply “mysterious”.
Why does He intervene with some people and not with others? And what are we, His children, to make of these inconsistencies?
