Win A Copy of The Other Daughter!
Just read the one simple rule below and follow the directions, and you’ll be in the drawing.
Go to www.amazon.com and in the search engine, type in my name, Miralee Ferrell. If you do a search under the title of the book, it will be harder to find, as there’s more than one book by that title…so use my name.
When you get there, click on the spot that says “Reviews”. Read at least one of the reviews posted and come back here. Leave a comment with a short excerpt from one of the reviews, telling just one thing the reviewer liked about the book, and mention the first name of the reviewer you read.
Be sure you leave your contact info, so I can let you know if you win the book. Use your email address this way, to beat the spam bots…
miralee at gorge dot net. That way I can find you, and you aren’t a target for spammers.
The contest will run through February 6th, and I’ll draw and announce on the 7th.

Just FYI… not sure how this is appearing on your computer screen, but on mine it’s overlapping and very hard to read.
Intriguing… Based on the reviews, it looks like this is a book that looks at blended families in every sense of the word – biologically blended (stepparents/stepchildren) and spiritually blended (Christian/non Christian). The topic is definitely interesting, and if the book is half as interesting as the topic, I’ll have to check it out from the library (or win this contest)!

Thanks!
I read that Barbara really appreciated the beautiful message of God’s grace that the story told.
Sounds good! (is it a tearjerker?)

I love a book that produces emotion through the story AND has a purpose in the writing of the story (someone once said something about ‘the moral to this story’). I love it when I can personally apply the lessons within the story to my life. Jennifer said: “I would highly recommend this book as a good lesson in love, forgiveness and faith.”
I would love a chance to read your book, please enter me in your drawing. Thank you.

Hello Miralee! The reviewers first name is “Kristy!” She like that your book and the mixed relationships in it can speak to a lot of people. Kristy also felt like the book demonstrated that prayer, faith and patience do work! Thanks,Cindi

I am excited to read this book!
PattyU says: “From the first page, I was totally absorbed into the lives of the Carson family. Because I cared about the characters, I wanted to know what would happen to them”

” Miralee Ferrell has written a story that will tug at the hearts of anyone who has ever welcomed a step-child into his or her life. Although “The Other Daughter” concerns an unexpected arrival, the insights into the feelings of the child involved are important to remember for anyone who is facing a blended family situation. Too often the adults involved fail to think of how the child feels when brought into a new family dynamic. “
That right there alone makes me want to read this book to find out more info as I have a brother that has step-children.
