Book Update—On the Way

I’m sitting here at my desk looking at a book contract from Kregel publishing house, a respected Christian House who markets to conventional stores and online distributors. It’s not signed yet and we still need to finalize details, so I’m not stating that it’s for sure yet, but I’m still
I’m amazed and so very blessed, at what the Lord has done.
Less than two years ago, I had no thought of writing at all, and only a little over a year ago even considered trying my hand at a Christian novel, after successfully publishing a few non-fiction articles. I’ve learned so much & still have a tremendous amount to learn. It’s difficult to believe I’ve made it so far in such a short amount of time. God truly is awesome!
It may be a week or so before we finalize and move past the contract stage, then comes the editing & revising. Not sure when a release date might be, and I don’t want to jump ahead of myself here.
Hopefully, I’ll know in the next few wks if the title will remain Yesterday’s Child, or if they’ll choose to change it. That is always the publishing houses option, if they feel another title would be more marketable, or if they discover my title is already being used. Either way, I’m incredibly happy that it’s going to be in print in less than a year!
I’m working on the second book in the series. The first one doesn’t continue with the story line into the second, but picks up in the life of one of the characters we meet there & I’m having a ball writing it. Anyone who adds a comment to my blog & asks about it, will get a sneak peek.
This is short tonight, as I have 15 pages of contract to read through before bed time, but trust me, it’s not a chore at all, but a privilage! God is so good!!!
