Book five in my Horses and Friends series
For middle-grade age kids (8-13) is now for sale in paperback and ebook. Check at any bookstore and they can order Rebel Horse Rescue, or purchase it on Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, and more.
Summer is winding down for Kate and her friends when a surprise visitor appears at her family’s stable—a beautiful bay horse wearing a halter and a bad attitude. Dubbing the horse “Rebel,” the friends set out to find the horse’s owner. Where did he come from, and why are horses all over the area disappearing from their pastures and paddocks? It’s a mystery that even the sheriff can’t figure out, so Kate decides to head up the investigation. When Kate’s autistic brother, Pete, develops a strong connection to the new arrival, Kate wonders—did God bring Rebel to them for a bigger purpose?
I need reviews, so if you’ve read it and could post, that would be wonderful. I’m also still looking for 3 more people who might enjoy reading and and maybe post a review.
I’m so excited that I got my rights back to republish Outlaw Angel–which was first published as Love Finds You in Sundance, Wyoming. My publisher required me to change the name, so I went back to what I wanted to name it when I first wrote the story. And guess what! This is now the first book in an upcoming series. I’m hoping to have book two finished and available sometime after Christmas, depending on my crazy schedule.
Angel Ramirez has been on the run for years disguised as a boy. She wants a fresh start, but can she learn to live like a lady?
On the run from a dangerous outlaw, Angel works her way across several states disguised as a boy and working as a varmint tracker and horse wrangler. After taking a job on a Wyoming ranch owned by a bachelor and his widowed sister, she finally reveals her true identity and must fight to prove her worth as a ranch hand while somehow discovering her role as woman.
Hiring a woman doesn’t sit well with Travis Morgan, and the dark-haired beauty is causing a
ruckus among his cowboys. Just as Angel decides she’ll never be able to please her boss, an unexpected surprise arrives from across the ocean and makes trouble on the ranch. Will Angel leave with the person who’s come so far to claim her?
On the chance you haven’t read the book yet, you can go HERE to purchase the ebook. The print version will be available in a week or so from when this post goes live.
And guess what? Outlaw Angel has been optioned for a possible movie–no–it’s not a done deal yet, but I’d love if you’d pray that God will bring it to pass. Talk about exciting! That would be awesome!

HE WAS DYING. Tyler could hear his labored breathing and see the way his chest rose and fell, and somehow could tell there wouldn’t be too many more breaths. He knew this was his fault. He was responsible for this man’s condition. Was it too late to make up for what he had done? He tried to remember how it had started. Memories flooded his mind, and suddenly he was seeing it all again.
Crouching down, running, I reached the large plastic garbage can that stuck up through the top of the bushes. Even though my attention was on getting away as fast as possible, I couldn’t help but notice for the first time that the bottom of the garbage can was broken and wide open. And since the bottom of the can was a foot off the ground, I figured I could crawl into it with the newly replaced garbage bag hiding my location. I climbed in quickly when I heard his voice and his heavy footsteps on the ground getting closer. He stopped nearby, and my heart skipped a beat. I heard him say to himself, “When I catch that kid I’m going to beat the livin’ daylights out of him.” At that moment I knew what I had to do…
I’m so excited! I’m launching into a brand new (to me) world…that of middle-grade fiction.
